The Gaslight King

I see him

That gaslight king,

Charming and quick

No one would realise he was covering up such a little…

So long he has fooled

Everyone he meets

That all of these women

Just fall at his feet

Like he doesn’t run his fingers through their hair

And kiss their soul

Like he’s never muttered words of love

Not once

At all

And when she comes to greet

With a kiss on the lips

He’ll make out to others

Like he’s never caressed her hips

The ugly face

Behind ‘this was never a thing’

That calls you crazy

That gaslight king

That handsome, dark and tall

Becomes nothing

Not much

At all

A statement on treating women like they’re crazy for developing feelings with the roots that you planted.
